Thondra is a specimen of Orcish power; tall, well built, with fierce golden eyes and dark black hair. She keeps her hair in a mohawk, with the sides of her head shaved, but the hair from the back of her head extends in long tight-weave braids. She also wears golden earrings and a septum piercing.

History

Thondra was literally born into war. A child of the Blackrock Clan, her parents—Zukiz and Tasgu Blackbones—were among the clan's warriors who partook of fel energy. Thondra was conceived during one battle, and born during another, but since her parents died soon after she never actually knew them. Instead she was cared for by the rest of her clan who fed her on tales of blood and fury. Unfortunately for her, the war didn't end as expected, and Thondra ended up in an internment camp sometime around her fifth birthday.

For little Thondra, childhood was a time of misery. Always hungry, she didn't suffer the lethargy of her elders but she did suffer from the neglect it caused. The warriors who had once told her stories of war now sat and did nothing, staring into empty space while Thondra was left to fend for herself. So she taught herself as best she could; with sticks and boards she practiced every strike, every parry, every shield bash she could imagine. She figured out what worked and what didn't, what was easiest and what did the most damage.

When came Thrall, Thondra was ready. She joined the new Horde with a bloodthirsty eagerness, ready to rip the humans apart with her bare hands if necessary. Only sixteen years old, she was given an axe and told... to wait. The order confused her as much as it enraged her. Wait? Wait! Why weren't they attacking? Why weren't they burning down entire human kingdoms? For a time, Thondra was on the verge of leaving this new Horde that seemed so weak.

Then she saw the power of demons.

When her own clan re-embraced the demons, Thondra almost went right along with them. She was eager for blood and ready to follow any path that might lead her to it, but when she saw her clan-mates losing themselves entirely, it stopped Thondra in her tracks. She didn't see glorious rage or honor in demon worship, instead she watched as her clan-mates willingly shackled themselves. Suddenly, a lot of things from her childhood made a lot of sense. Too much sense.

Unwilling to follow her clan into servitude, Thondra left them and joined Thrall's forces. Yet still she was denied. In Thrall's army she was given honor, but found herself always outside the war. Skirmishes here and there, small engagements with centaurs or quilboars. Never any demons, never anything that mattered. She found herself more and more angry as she was always sent out on patrol, or left to guard bases at the rear, never sent to the front lines, never anything important. When she missed the Battle of Mount Hyjal, she was done with serving others.

Now, Thondra serves herself. Having set out on her own, she seeks to find her own path to glory and blood. Her parents got themselves killed, her clan abandoned her for demons, the Horde left her to guard the rear, well fuck them all. She'll build her own legend the hard way.

Adventures in Azeroth

Thondra is twenty-three years old, and she's ready to make her name.

August 3, 25 ADP. Having moved into the Valley of Trials, Thondra was eager to start her real career. Unfortunately it was just day in and day out of training and menial work. When she and her companions were given an "important" task of killing boars and collecting apples, Thondra genuinely almost walked out forever.

Luckily, she stuck with it. The boar hunting trek was as menial as expected, until the group came across a wounded troll who spoke of a massive deadly scorpid. The group's shaman healed the troll, then the group set out to put down the threat. They encountered tiny aggravating demons—who almost killed the group's goblin—and realized the whole area was tainted by fel magic.

When they found the giant scorpid, it was no less dangerous than they had been told. Unfortunately for the scorpid, Thondra was by that point very angry. The battle was fierce, but short, and Thondra ripped the deadly scorpid nearly in half with a single swing of her axe. Seconds later, she did the same to one of its companions. After that, the rest fled.

The group returned to camp with boars, apples, and a story of defeating a known threat. Thondra has decided, for at least the time being, to stick with this second beginning. At least for a little while longer.
